Indian Wrestling @ Tokyo2020

Hello,

Wrestling! Has been a India's Saviour in last 3 Olympics! Till now we have won 5 medals in olympics. Second highest number of medals in India's Olympics Tally after our dominace in Hockey.

Shushil Kumar, Silver and Bronze medalist in Olympics London and Beijing respectively, made wresling popular in India. Yogeshwar Dutt, London2012, Bronze Medalist carried the legacy in Mens category. Now there is a huge hope on Bajrang Punia

In Women's category we have notable names like Geeta PhogatBabita Kumari in Commonwealth and Asian Games. But Sakshi Malik becomes the first indian women wrestler to win bronze in olympics. She did it in Rio2016. In Tokyo we have huge hopes on Vinesh Phogat as she is in prime form. She finished 10th in Rio2016. She is the top seed in her category.

We have 18 events in Tokyo. But we have qualified only for 7 events.
