World @ Tokyo2020 Olympics!!

Hello!

Many of you might be a Travel enthusiast! Any guesses? How many countries will particiapte in Tokyo olympics?

205 countries qualified out of 206.

This may sound wiered, because total countries in the world is 195

So, how can 206 countries participate in Tokyo when only 195 really exist? Well, simply not all countries participating in Olympics are really countries!

Simple! IOC takes the final call on who participates in Olympics. Each body or state is called NOC i.e National Olympic Committee. For Example, the Indian NOC is  Indian Olympic Committee. So 206 are nothing but 206 NOCs.

It includes 193 UN member countries, 1 Non-member observer country of Palestine,9 Dependent territories of American Samoa,Virgin Islands, British Virgin Islands, Hong Kong, Cayman Islands, Bermuda, Guam, Aruba and Puerto Rico, 2 Partially recongized states of Chinese Taipei or Taiwan and Kosova and 1 Almost-independent state of Cook islands.

Around 11,000 atheletes are expected to compete in Olympics this year!

No matter of geo or cultural background of an athelete, it gives the feeling of belonging to one beautiful blue planet!

As the Motto of Tokyo2020 will live right there "United by Emotion"

2017 Champions

At 2017 Shanghai Masters, Roger Federer gave Rafael Nadal absolutely no chance in the final to capture his second
Shanghai Masters titles. The Swiss took only 72 minutes to get past Nadal in 6-4,6-3 for his fifth successive victory
over the Spaniard.
In the Men’s doubles, Henri Kontinen and John Peers spent only 69 minutes on the court before sealing the
final against Lukasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo. The top seed defeated the second seed 6-4, 6-2 to lift the title.

2018 Results :

Novak Djokovic creates history at Shanghai Masters

Novak Djokovic continued his imperious form which began at Wimbledon earlier this year by swatting aside

Croatian Borna Coric who got the better of defending champion Roger Federer in the semi-finals. With his

victory, Novak Djokovic broke a tie with Scot Andy Murray to become the most successful player at the

Shanghai ATP Masters.

Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares were beaten in straight sets by Lukasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo in the

Shanghai Masters doubles final.

Messi's Special gift for 'Didi' !!

Barcelona captain Lionel Messi has sent a special gift for the West Bengal chief minister - a signed Barcelona jersey, with "DIDI".

The signature blue and red number 10 jersey has been worn by players like Diego Maradona, Romario and Ronaldinho.

Lionel Messi sent the signed club jersey for Ms Banerjee via Barcelona Legends last week. The team came to Kolkata last Friday for a friendly match against Bengal's own Mohun Bagan.

FC Barcelona Legends Juliano Belletti and Jari Litmanen handed over the jersey to the Football Next Foundation organizers after the match.

"They couldn't hand it over to Ms Banerjee personally, so they gave it to us. We have approached the CMO. Whenever Ms Banerjee agrees to meet us, we will hand it over to her," Kaushik Moulik, founder of the football foundation, said.

Nehra - Amitabh Bachchan of Indian Cricket Team

Amitab Bachchan of Indian Cricket Team is none other than Nehra, Yes , it suits him. Playing from 1999 to 2017 under captains from Azharuddin to Kohil. Spead over 18 years at the age of 38 retires infront of his home crowd in delhi today (Nov 1, 2017). One last chant Come on #Nehraji.

His ability to come out triumphs in crunch moments made him special and win back his place in the side every time he was fit #Comebackking

He is the most trolled indian bowler. He is atttitude on the field and critisism needs a hats off. If someone can shout at captian cool, its none other than Nehra.

He is the only played came to international cricket in 90's and still playing T20 cricket. #Respect

Here are some interesting moments of Nehra's carrier and pictures that flooded internet.

1.The 6/23 against England in an evening at Durban in WC game in 2003 is of course the most talked about Nehra moment

2.December 2009, 415 is the target for Sri Lanka. But thanks to cracking knocks from Dilshan and Sangakkara, they need 11 to win off the last over. Captain Dhoni hands the ball to Nehra and with his missus chipping away her nails after every ball, the mister delivers with the ball. India again close out a nail-bitter thanks to Nehraji

3.March 2004, India after posting 349 in the first ODI against Pakistan at Karachi were defending 9 runs in the last over. The then skipper Sourav Ganguly asked Nehraji to bowl the final over and he did not disappoint to hand India a famous win.
